High Temperature Back Pressure Regulator

While  PTFE/Glass composite diaphragms can be used up to 232°C (450°F) at low pressures, the mechanical stress derating for PTFE at elevated temperatures makes the SS316 diaphragm a more practical choice in most high temperature applications. Diaphragms made of Hastelloy C276 are also available for some scenarios.

Description

The High Temperature back pressure regulator (BPR) is designed especially for use in low flow applications with high temperature media or high ambient temperatures, up to 450C. It is used for gas, liquid or mixed phase fluid applications where precision low flow upstream pressure control is required.

Back pressure regulators control their inlet pressure to regulate the upstream process by opening up only as much as necessary to hold back the desired pressure at the inlet.
