Bearing and Bushing

A bearing is a precision-made machine component that allows machinery to move at extremely high speed. Bushing is an independent plain bearing that is used to support a shaft and operates with sliding motion between the moving surfaces.

It is suitable for rotating, oscillating and linear movements, whereas straight (cylindrical) bushings can accommodate radial loads only and flanged bushings can accommodate radial and axial loads in one direction.
